Managers
Managing with Impact
Developing confident, capable people managers.
01 / THE CHALLENGE
Being good at the job and being good at managing people are two different things.
As managers take on more responsibility, they need to move beyond getting the work done themselves. They need to know how to lead different people, build trust, delegate effectively, handle difficult conversations and develop others, while still delivering.
Managing with Impact gives them the practical skills, self-awareness and confidence to do that.
02 / WHO IT'S FOR
Who it's for
Newer people managers, typically with around 0 to 3 years' management experience, who need to build strong foundations for leading others effectively.
They may have recently started managing people, be stepping into a management role, or simply never have had the formal development to help them build confidence in the people side of the job.
03 / THE SHIFT
The shift
From
Doing the work
To
Leading the team
04 / THE SESSIONS
The sessions
Five practical, interactive 2-hour workshops, typically delivered monthly. Choose five from six depending on what your managers and business need most.
05 / COACHING
Coaching
Two short, confidential 30-minute 1:1s with Cate via Zoom: one before the programme to understand each manager, set individual goals and identify what they want to get from the programme, and one at the end to reflect on progress, work through individual challenges and help turn the learning into action.
The coaching conversations are completely private and confidential.
06 / HOW WE MEASURE IT
How we measure it
Before the programme, managers complete a short survey to understand where they are now, what they find challenging and where they want to develop.
We share the overall themes and findings with your People team and use them to fine-tune the programme before it starts, so the content is shaped around the managers in the room.
At the end, we measure again and provide a summary report showing what has shifted.
07 / THE OUTCOME
The outcome
Managers with the confidence and tools to lead people, not just manage the work.
Stronger conversations, relationships and trust across their teams.
More ownership and capability in the team, with less reliance on the manager to do everything themselves.
